Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Rumours Roundup
So far we know that Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will sport an 18:9 display with minimal top and bottom bezels. The phone will have a 5.5-inch FullHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen with 2.5D curved glass as it’s predecessor Redmi Note 4. It is also expected that the device will have a dual camera setup and from it, one of the cameras will have a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera on the front. Some of the leaked images show a fingerprint sensor on the back beneath the dual camera’s.
The Redmi Note 5 is likely to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or 660 chipsets with 3GB and 4GB of RAM and with an internal storage capacity of 32GB and 64GB which can be expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The phone will also come with an Adreno 506 GPU which is quite powerful.

The device will run Android Oreo 8.0 and Xiaomi’s MIUI skin on top of it. The phone is expected to come with MIUI 9 which is highly customizable and Xiaomi’s latest skin. The Redmi Note 5 will be backed up by a 4,000 mAh battery which is actually less compared to its predecessor Redmi Note 4 which has 4,100 mAh battery capacity.
Talking about the pricing there is no such official confirmation about it but it’s predecessor the Redmi Note 4 launched at a starting price of Rs 9,999 up to Rs 12,999 and now it is expected that Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 may start from Rs 10,999 to Rs 13,999. Xiaomi this is producing more units as they know the device will sell like hot-cakes once it’s launched.
But Xiaomi should also make the price as low as possible as many of smartphones from other brands such as Honor 9 lite is having not only dual cameras but four cameras under Rs 10,000. Honor also launched it’s Honor 7x a few months back which also has a dual camera setup and a fast processor which is a direct competition to the upcoming Redmi Note 5. Xiaomi is also yet to launch it’s Redmi 5 Plus in India which was previously launched in China for 1,099 Yuan.
