Every big Tech company, be it Apple, Google or Facebook is investing a lot in Augmented Reality (AR) to make users experience better. We saw Snapchat introducing AR stickers in its app and recently Google too launched AR stickers for pixel devices with Android Oreo 8.1 update.

Lastest to join them is Facebook with its World Effect AR stickers for Facebook Messenger. The new update will let you drop 3D objects into your surroundings using the camera too built-in to the messenger app. Facebook is called it as World Effects. The holiday season is going on in the United States, so there are many holiday themes features in this new update.

“For example, add a 3D heart floating over someone’s head and then try panning your phone’s camera from side to side. Or use an arrow to point to an exact object or location in a panorama so your friend knows what you’re referring to. Or better yet, add a new fun, celebratory robot to an otherwise every-day setting and spice things up a bit” Facebook said in a post.
