Hey, whats-up guys welcome to another episode of the tech updates. Synaptics, Fingerprint Scanner manufacturer announced that they have begun the mass production of its new Clear ID FS9500 in-display fingerprint scanner for top-five OEMs. Top five OEMs means Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, and OPPO or maybe LG.

They did not specify any OEM but they mentioned infinity display quite a few times in their announcements. They said the Clear ID fingerprint scanner was designed for phones with “infinity displays,” Samsung calls their beautiful 18:9 aspect ratio curved display as infinity display. So looks like Samsung is finally going for an in-display fingerprint scanner which would be great to have as Facial recognition and Iris scanning is not suitable in every situation.

Last year, Xiaomi stepped into the Smartwatch market with its Huami Amazfit Pace Smartwatch, which like other Xiaomi products was a value for money smartwatch. Now the company has launched two successors to the popular smartwatch in China called Amazfit Wach 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S or you can say Amazfit Pace 2 and Amazfit  Pace 2S.

Just like the previous version both the smartwatches come with a ceramic bezel but watch 2S uses some premium materials like a 2.5D sapphire glass on top. The Amazfit Watch 2 is priced at CNY 999 around ₹9,750 and Watch 2S is priced at 1,499 around ₹14,600.

Twitter has now made it easier for users to build tweetstorms by linking together posts in threads and expanding the length of the overall message. Recently twitter also updated its character limit to 280 characters which solved the problem of linking tweets together by an extent. Twitter has added a “plus button” to the composer, so you can connect tweets easily. You can continue adding more Tweets to your published thread at any time with the new “Add another Tweet” button. You can easily spot a thread by using “Show this thread” label.

Facebook-owned popular photo-sharing app, Instagram launched their latest feature which allows you to follow hashtags. Following hashtags is just like following people, just search for the hashtag or topic you want to get updates from. For example, you can follow #sidtech to get all the posts with #sidtech. Once you find the hashtag you like just open it and tap on follow button and you are good to go.

You’ll begin seeing top posts from that hashtag in your feed and some of the latest stories in your stories bar. You can always unfollow a hashtag at any time. You can also check hashtags that other people are following on their profiles page.

After launching it at IFA 2017, Berlin, LG has finally launched its Video-centric smartphone called the LG V30 Plus in India. The smartphone is priced at ₹44,990 and will be available across the country starting 18th December. First time in recent past LG has priced its smartphone so good.
