Nvidia has announced another high end GPU which sits between it’s current Geforce Gtx 1070 and GeForece GTX 1080. This new high end Graphics processor is called GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and will be available in India at a starting price of ₹39,000.
This new GPU will be available on 2nd November in 238 countries including India. Nvidia has also partnered with Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Zotac, Palit, Galax, PNY and Inno3D to launch the new graphic card.
The price of $449 or ₹39,000 is just a staring price as manufactures will launch their custom versions of the processor with other components. Also even after the launch of this new version price of the GeForce GTX 1070 has not been reduced till now.
Coming to the technical specifications, It has 2,432 active CUDA cores divided into 19 clusters that Nvidia calls Streaming Multiprocessors. It is clocked at 1607MHz with boost to 1683MHz. The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti uses 8GBps GDDR5 RAM.
Nvidia is focused towards people who want to play at 2560×1440 or ultra-wide 1080p monitors at the highest graphics quality settings. Nvidia claims 51.4fps in Rise of the Tomb Raider, 103.2fps in Fallout 4, and 69.7fps in The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt at a resolution of 2560×1440.
Nvidia claims it is suitable for VR Gaming too. In terms of competition it competes directly with the recently launched AMD Radeon RX Vega 56, which is priced similarly.
