Gmail Turns Addresses And Phone Numbers Into Links In The New Update

Google has started rolling a new update to it’s Gmail mail service. Now with the new update Addresses, Phone Numbers and email addresses would automatically turn into hyperlinks.

Earlier this feature was available on other mailing services like the Zoho mail and was long awaited on one the most used mail service in the world. So now if someone sends you an address, you can click/tap on it and it will take you to the Google Map.

Similarly if there is a phone number and you are using Gmail on your Android or iOS device, it will directly take you to the phone app to make call or save the number . Lastly if someone sends you an email address, you can/tap on it and it will open your default mail app and compose a new email for the mention email address.

And don’t worry if you are not seeing this feature right now on you gmail as Google has said it will take 2-3 days for the complete roll out to happen. This is a welcome change and will make users gmail experience better. What do you think about the new feature? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to Sid Tech for daily tech updates.
