Objectives of STAI | IISR | NFCSF seminar :
Sugar Industry encounters problems like low yield and recovery from sugarcane, limitations of resources like water, nutrients, quality seeds, depleting soil fertility status, agro-climatic variations, and scarcity of farm labour impacting its cultivation and harvesting.
For sustainability of the Sugar Industry, sugar cane agriculture needs to change radically in order to increase sugarcane yield/recovery to sustainable meet the future demand.
