The Stonefly scale-out NAS architecture foregoes high capacity and expensive storage devices. The customer can add scale-out storage nodes as necessary instead of purchasing bigger and more expensive nodes.

In a world where sophisticated data is moving along a time stream and Cloud Backup has become a need, we make sure you have ample ways to choose the best option for yourself.

Getting the Veeam Backup to the Cloud

Veeam cloud connect provides the customer with essentials to backup data in order to avoid data losses. StoneFly steps in to save the day by paving the way to move the Veeam backup to the cloud creating a cloud backup. As a customer you need certain components to backup Veeam to the cloud.

Veeam backup is installed on a backup server or a backup appliance for customers even if they have multiple servers or multiple location branch offices. Veeam cloud connect backs up data at the lowest possible rates per VM.

Moreover, Veeam provides WAN acceleration to be put into place to ensure that data travels at the highest possible speed. A VPN comes into play after acceleration which connects the user to the internet where once again the customer has total freedom to decide the cloud backup to be used.

Our customers can go to Amazon and choose either S3 or glacier storage; or go to Azure cloud storage and have the ability to pick up either hot or cool blob level storage.

Veeam provides VPN and bandwidth acceleration as part of the local gateway which helps the customer connect the cloud gateway to the local gateway.

After the appropriate provisioning of the gateway, the storage comes into limelight and the work of StoneFly starts. StoneFly uses SAN technology to accommodate the storage needs of the customer. The provisioning of the storage is in the capable hands of StoneFly where it is provisioned whether the storage is S3, glacier, hot or cool blob and then connected to the gateway where it goes back to Veeam on-premises.

StoneFly Cloud Backup Solutions for AWS and Azure

StoneFly provides its customers with all the freedom to decide on their cloud backup solutions.

Customers can buy in Azure or AWS and get just a license server from StoneFly. The customer can directly get the license from Microsoft and get the storage and gateway to spin up. The set up would be in the hands of the customer and Microsoft will handle the network at hand.

StoneFly has deployed this solution in Microsoft. The customer is charged for the license that StoneFly provides while putting the blob at the customers service.

The customers can also purchase their own licenses directly and use the BYOL (Bring Your Own License) method where we instantly license the customers’ license in the cloud.

StoneFly Backup: You Decide, We Provide

StoneFly provides full assistance to the customers who want their entire cloud backup design to be set up by StoneFly.

StoneFly caters to the needs of all its customers and provides the best services for even those customers who want to use StoneFly as a service provider. We set up the gateway; storage and the StoneFly cloud connect gateways for which the customer only pays per terabyte.

The customer just has to pay per terabyte which takes care of the customers’ fear of being overcharged.
