Madhya Pradesh’s First Net Metered Home Solar PV System

The first Net Metered Solar PV Rooftop plant in Madhya Pradesh was inaugurated at the residence of Shri Santosh Muchhal in Indore. The 1.92 kW Solar unit is set up on an area of 175 square feets and generates a minimum 10 units per day. Net metered Solar Plant is connected to the grid to which excess power generated is supplied and draws power from the grid when power is in undersupply. This allows consumers to generate their own electricity and reduce monthly electricity bill as the consumer only pays for energy consumed minus the energy supplied to the grid.

MP has a target of 2200MW renewable capacity by 2022. MPUVNL aims to install 22,000 solar power units of 100KW capacity. To reach that capacity, Solar must be adopted not only by industries and commercial establishments but also residents and house owners.

The capacity of the Solar Plant is decided by the roof area and energy requirements of the customer. Consult Ujaas Home to know the best Solar option for your home. With simplified process to install Residential Solar Plant by the government, residents can easily make the one-time investment that delivers returns for a span of 25 long years. It’s a matter of immense pride for Ujaas as well as the state of Madhya Pradesh that the ball has now set rolling for the people of the state to adopt Solar in their homes.
