Redmi Note 4

Key Features of Redime note 4

  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 13MP Primary Camera | 5MP Front
  • 4100 mAh Li-Polymer Battery
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 64-bit Processor

Redmi Note 4 (4GB RAM) Price : ₹12,999

Pros

  • Performance : Its one of the best in it class, its budgeted phone with outstanding performance and the performance gets even better if you update with new updates.(yes, you can update it with new MIUI system stability update right after you un-box your device and use it for first time.) ”I am personally great fan of MI and One Plus phones”.
  • Design : Its does gives you the premium feel, buts then its again common this days almost all the phones are now opting for the metal body phones.
  • Battery life – As it comes with 4100 mAh , It does have a good battery life which last for the day with a good usage.
  • Screen – it’s a 1080p IPS panel, similar to redmi note 3, but its more richer and colours are more Brighter on Note 4, make sure you use a screen guard on it or be careful with the screen
  • Camera – After doing all our chorus which we do to conclude to this we can say that its a good camera, not the best camera, but its better than most of the other budget devices and really better then Redmi 3s prime.
  • Finger print sensor is just awesome works 9 out of 10 times and it had made me addictive to the fingerprint sensor.
  • No heating issue – After doing the heavy gaming for the straight 2 hours it did got heated up at back panel near camera and mid section, but it got cooled down in few minutes and there was no lag or performance issues while we were playing the heavy games.
  • Double tap to wake up, apart from this they also added some nice gesture like pressing volume buttons wakes the device, volume down twice will launch camera, also many cool gesture are available in MIUI like 3 finger swipe for screenshot etc. And if there is any more then we are yet to discover as it a review right after a week.

    Cons

  • Software – as you guys knows Mi rocks with MIUI at the early stage it was very glitch but after the update it made it quite stable, hopefully we will see more frequent updates for better stability and performance from Mi.
  • Charging: It takes 2.5 hrs to charge completely whereas many other devices are coming with fast charging options so sadly that is not fast compared to today’s standards.
  • Expandable memory is another issue, as dual sims are common this days so if you going to have both sim running then you cannot insert memory card as this phones comes with hybrid slot so you have to compromise at one point.

Moto M (Gold, 64 GB)

Key features of Moto M :

  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 16MP Primary Camera | 8MP Front
  • 3050 mAh Li-Polymer Battery
  • MTK Helio P15 64-bit Processor

Pros:

  • Design: Look and feel of mobile is very Classy  which is common this days and they have placed fingerprint sensor  which makes it easy to use and unlock  and the best thing about it is that its splash proof note its not water resistant so don’t try weird experiments .
  • Sound Quality: Dolby Atmos is amazing upgrade in sound quality by Motorola, its just one right side speaker with good average sound out put quality.
  • Screen: Screen looks sharp and good for movie watching, you won’t face problem while operating in sunlight as the sharp screen gives it decent sunlight legibility.
  • Fingerprint sensor is simply too awesome. It responds quickly.
  • Battery: Battery Life of 3050 mAh is quite good, last for the day if you are moderate user. What’s more fascinating is that it gets completely charged in 110 min so its fast charging comparatively to those other who take 2.30 hrs to completely charge but then it doesn’t comes with turbo charger which could have been make it a fast charging phone.
  • Rear 16 MP and  front-facing 8MP camera captures better selfies, detailed and with pleasing skin tones color reproduction. But then it runs out of focus.
  • Performance: The Moto M is powered by a Mediatek Helio P15 chipset. It’s really fast and smooth, multi tasking in this phone feels like heaven, all the apps get loaded quickly it give you the feel of stock andriod, Mediatek processors aren’t that good in graphics compared to the snapdragon, bumps experience are negotiable Mali-T860MP2 does deliver high end graphics. Overall the performance is best.
  • It comes with bundled back cover and screen guard with the phone.

Cons:

  • Average Camera quality, they can make the improvements in terms of camera software like they need a serious touch at aperture settings, shutter speed setting and ISO settings. The color reproduction, dynamic range and exposure are also too bad.
  • Hybrid sim slot either you can use it as Dual Sim card or One Sim with SD card
  • The phone has awesome Dolby speakers but then audio output in headphones is not a good match for big headphones.

Honor 6X (Gold, 64GB)

Key Features of Honor 6X:

  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 12MP + 2MP Dual lens Primary Camera | 8MP Front
  • 3340 mAh Li-Polymer Battery
  • 1GHz + 1.7GHz Kirin 655 Octa Core processor

Price of Honor 6X  (Gold 64GB): ₹13,499

Pros:

  • Camera: Honor 6X has been a game changer if talked in term of camera, they have set some new standards and new records, it captures stunning photos even in low light.
Dual camera works something like this 12MP camera + a 2MP depth sensor the second sensor is used only for gathering depth information about the scene so that it allows applying high-quality faux bokeh effects to give you the feel of DSLR Clicks. So the camera and price of the phone is worth it. And the camera could get a lot more better with the next upcoming OS update of Andriod 7.0.
Front camera is 8MP camera, which have an awesome detailing.
  • Performance: This phone with 4GB RAM can take anything thrown at it. Like its hell lot of a phone, works just fine, switching between apps or simultaneously updating a multitude of apps gives you no challenge and as Honor 6X’s Kirin 655 this chip consists of two quad-core clusters: four performing cores clocked to 2.1GHz + four efficient cores clocked to 1.7GHz.
Whereas high end gaming is concerned, you may experience some lag and screen freeze. So in the gaming thing it didn’t stand up to the mark. So don’t expect to this phone to play many graphic-intensive games. As battery go heated too after a prolong use. (Its not same in case of using it for normal things like 3G browsing and all )  like many other midrange devices, is quite capable of playing all kinds of casual and high-profile games.
  • Battery Life: So they have optimized in such a way that it doesn’t uses much of your battery for the normal task due to which your phone battery last for 1.5 Days with a  moderate use in a single charge of 100%.
  • Design: Build quality is good, same as per the industry standard, have a metal finish and give you a premium look, with speakers located below near by the charging slot.
  • Fingerprint sensor: It works just fine.

Cons:

  • Sounds: The speaker of the phone is below average whereas in the headphones the sounds quality output is good.
  • Hybrid Sim slot. So you can have either way like either dual sim or single sim and large space but then its less painful as it comes with 64 GB ROM.
  • Touch sensitivity could have been better but not a problem can be solved in next update
  • Charging: Its not the fast charging one as it take 2.5 Hrs to completely charge, which is not to the industry standards of this days.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note

Key features of Lenovo vibe k5 note

  • 4 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 13MP Primary Camera | 8MP Front
  • 3500 mAh Li-Ion Polymer Battery
  • Helio P10 64-bit Processor

Lenovo vibe k5 note (4GB RAM) Price : ₹13,499

Pros:

  • Has got good looks, Solid and very good looking with its aluminum back cover, which is common these days
  • Fingerprint sensor is fast and so the response time. Works 9 out of 10 times.
  • Screen sensitivity is good.
  • Dolby audio experience is excellent both loudspeaker and in earphones. If you are an audiophile, this is the phone for you.
  • Camera front and back cam superb in Good lighting condition. The Camera in this segment is one of the best. The Quality is great in ample lighting conditions. But you will have to do a bit struggle in low light and complex lighting conditions.
LED flash gives a better exposure to the picture clicked in darkness. Expecting to get it better with software updates. That can be done and it is also expected as the sensor is quite good.
Camera – Overall both the cameras are pretty Good.Great phone for macro photography.
  • Display – Sharp and very bright. By default, it’s on the warm side but you can tweak that in the display settings. Easily one of the best screen we can find in the market at this price point. Very vibrant crisp and colors seems very bright. There is some kind of protection on the screen making it smudge free.
  • Touch Response – Very Smooth and sensitive
  • Battery – Easily lasts for more than a single day if you don’t play games much.
  • Processor:  The Helio P10 64 – bit is not the latest but is very smooth and amazingly powerful. But the amazing thing about it is that the processing speed and it’s power handling whatever thrown at it is awesome. Heating is comparatively very minimal. And does not lags if you do heavy gaming due to its fast professor and ample RAM of 4GB you can play any graphic intensive game easily. Also the device doesn’t get heated up to an uncomfortable level. So that is a plus.

Cons

  • In this time of high end graphics you cannot play a 4k video.
  • Battery 3500mah because of which is around 6 hours of screen on time. Takes 2.5 hrs to charge completely whereas many other devices are coming with fast charging options so sadly that is not fast compared to today’s standards.
  • Processor speed is not up to the mark .
  • You get around 25 GB space and as it is expandable but then it comes with hybrid slot you can either use dual sim or large memory and single sim.
  • Infrared – No. You can’t use this as a remote. As these days almost every phone is coming with this feature, but Lenovo K5 lacks it.
  • Notification LED light blinks only red & Blue colors.

OnePlus 2 (Sandstone Black, 64GB)

Key Features of One Plus 2:

  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 13MP Primary Camera | 5MP Front
  • 3,300 mAh Li-Po
  • Snapdragon 810 v2.1

OnePlus 2 (Sadstone Black, 64 GB) Price : ₹19,999

Pros:

  • Large screen: 5.5′ is massive, earlier I thought it might feel bulky, but thanks to it’s very good Screen to size ratio, it doesn’t feel that big.
  • Massive Core Power: Snapdragon 810 takes care of anything and everything that you throw at it. We have played NFS for hours on this thing never had any lag with apps running in background.
  • USB type C: It’s actually a con for now but my device is future proof and the reversible connector is just too good.
  • Fingerprint Sensor: Works most 9 out 10 time, directly unlocks the phone without press any button and the response time is just awesome
  • Alert Slider: Haven’t used it much but it’s of good use, without taking it out of your pocket u can put it on silent, can be very useful if going to some office or temple etc.
  • Processing speed: As it is equipped by the heavy CPU and GPU and LPDDR4 RAM we have no comments to make on it. It can handle anything with ease, no matter whatever you through at it. Most users are surely scared about If it will get hot, yes, it will surely get hot if you do some extensive gaming and all. One normal usage it don’t get heated up, but gets a lil warm.
  • Design: The build design is simply awesome, stand stone finish makes it outstanding as its not so common like all those other flimsy, plastic or metal body, feels like a premium phone in hand
  • Camera: As these days cameras are one of the most hotly contested aspects of phones and one plus two has stand till it and have proven it worth, the rear 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.3µm pixels. It has 6 physical lenses, a dual LED flash, Object Image Stabilization, and laser focus. But this time they switched to Omni-Vision sensor for extraordinary images, in whatever be the situation. Whether indoor or outdoor, during day or night the results will be superb.Even the front-facing 5-megapixel camera is perfect one. Not only does it capture a wider angle than many other selfie cameras but even the quality of photos is much better than what I have seen in many other phones.
  • OS: With its Oxygen OS you get the experience of stock OS which is just like cherry on the cake. What makes it outstanding is its superfast processor; massive RAM bloat ware free OS.

Cons:

  • USB-C:  You will find it to plug OTG and other common charger you would have to carry a small pocket adapter for that.
  • No-Earphones: it doesn’t come with any earphones.
  • Memory: The only con if you really think then it doesn’t comes with option of expandable memory option, you need to keep backing up the data now.
  • Quick Charging – Its charging speed is limited i guess, it takes more than 2 and half hour for full charge. Quick charge is a must have feature now, so this also have disappointed me a bit.

Lenovo P2

Key Features of Lenovo P2:

  • 4 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 13MP Primary Camera | 5MP Front
  • 5100 mAh Battery
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 Processor

Lenovo P2 (4GB RAM) Price : ₹17,999

Pros:

  • Build quality is good.
  • As it comes with a super amoled display so the screen quality and touch response is excellent but then it doesn’t have gorilla glass protection guys so you should have to use screen protector film.
  • Gaming experience is also good in this phone. No lag so far. We played Death Art and Asphalt, No heating issues or no lagging experienced.
  • It comes with Snapdragon 625 processor same as Moto z play and Asus zenphone 3 has. So you can relate.
  • A 13 MP camera having features like phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama.
  • Finger print sensor is really cool. Works 9 out 10 times.
  • It comes with one button power saver. Even after having a massive battery if you forgot to charge your phone you can save some juice for the emergency use.
  • And super cool thing is the rapid charge support. For this massive battery this is an essential feature. And it does its job.
  • No heating problem so far.

Cons:

  • Pictures taken in indoor or low light become little grainy but you get clear sharp images in sunlight. 5 MP selfie camera is not so good but yes it does the work. Saving thing is Sony sensor and face beautifies option in their Snap It camera option.
  • VOLTE bug, You have to put Jio SIM first and start phone as you get VoLTE symbol
Put another SIM card, I had earlier put both together SIM 1 Jio SIM 2 Vodafone and got angry that no VoLTE support or Enhanced LTE option in mobile networks settings, But solved after doing single SIM reboot and then again put the second SIM.
  • No Dolby Atmos speakers or functionality utter disappointed

OPPO F1s

Key Features of OPPO F1s

  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch HD Display
  • 13MP Primary Camera | 16MP Front
  • 3075 mAh Battery
  • MT6750 64-bit Processor

Oppo F1s Price (4GB RAM) : ₹18,990

Pros:

  • Camera: Phone having both 13 MP back camera with autofocus , PDAF and an LED flash . Camera of this phone is just awesome. The daylight pictures are awesome.
It also work better in low light. So it also called low light camera.
Touted as yet another ‘Selfie Expert’, the F1s comes with a 16MP snapper takes care of the selfie department. Oppo has been focusing on photography and while the F1 and the F1 Plus were above average shooter Picture quality of both of this front and rear camera is just awesome.
  • Battery: Good battery life last till the end of the day when used along with internet.
  • The Smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.
  • One usually expects a 1080p resolution on such a large display, but the HD resolution doesn’t look bad either. It offers adequate brightness, but under sunlight it does struggle a bit. Color saturation is spot and even the viewing angles are wide as we didn’t see any color shift
  • Sensor: Fast finger print sensor works 9 out 10 times and is really fast.
  • Processor: as it comes with MT6750 64 Bit processor, so it makes multi tasking is just a easy thing to handle, It can easily accommodate high graphics games. Oppo comes with its own ColorOS system and now it is available in update Android system. We played lots of game on this mobile and also play heavy game we played Asphalt 8 but there is no single lag to witness.
  • What makes it out of the box is the SIM card slot; it comes with dual 4G support and memory extension both at a same time, like other it’s not a hybrid one.

Cons:

The bundled headphones are not up to the mark.

Yu Yunicorn 32 GB

Key Features of Yu Yunicorn

  • 4 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB
  • 5 inch Full HD Display
  • 13MP Primary Camera | 5MP Front
  • 4000 mAh Li-Polymer Battery
  • MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) Processor

Yu Yunicorn Price (4GB RAM) : ₹10,499

Pros:

  • Battery charges from 10% to 100% in 2 hrs and 20 mins. This is again not a fasting charging as one of the current industry standards.  But if you talk overall as since its comes with 4000mAh battery so backup is very good it gives you 1.5 days with heavy usage.
  • The mobile comes with NEG Protective glass by default which protects your screen from scratches, so if you are not much interested to spend on glass protection than you don’t need to do.
  • Overall build quality is good, the Mobile is 8.15 mm thickness and feels very good to hold and sleek.
The voice quality is good during calls and so the signal strength is also good.
  • The phone doesn’t hangs or freeze even if you install much more application and games.
  • The box includes bundled headphones, so don’t need to buy one and does have a good enough sound quality for calls and songs.

Cons:

  • Hybrid sim slot is a huge disappointment. Can either use a memory card or second sim but not both. I am just consoling myself that 32 GB is enough for a phone. Whereas both the sim slots supports 4G.
  • There is no dedicated back key (soft keys on display difficult to return while playing games.
  • Camera quality is poor ,takes good pictures in outdoor but poor picture quality in low light. And as now because of the recent update its better now, but if you are comparing camera with one of those lumia then its nowhere near it.
  • If you are gamers then this phone is not for you. Gaming experience is just okay. You will witness freezing if you are playing high end graphic games.
