There is no end to the number of apps which promise to make the job of an installer easier than ever, but most of those focus on the design process. Now, Indigo Distribution is hoping to help installers throughout the entire journey, from project beginning to ending, with a launch of a new app.

Launching at EI Live! 2018, the new Indigo app will be capable of a number of features to help installers with their projects. The distributor says that the app should be able to save installers countless hours of work, which should help them work on more projects simultaneously.

Through the app installers will be able to design and quote a job as they walk around the property with clients, toggle between pricing in client mode and trade pricing in installer mode, automatically create a kit list, product a purchase order and client quotation, and even add in labour and other associated costs.

Despite all those features, as well as many more, Indigo has said that it won’t be charging a monthly subscription for access to the software. In fact, the whole goal of the software was to further incentivise dealers to work with the company, which is an added bonus to the recently-announced rewards program. In fact, the rewards program will be tied to the app, where users will receive special bonus features depending on their level.

Bronze dealers will receive a bespoke ELAN user guide for each system designed, while those on silver will also get a cable schedule. Stepping it up to gold level and installers will find they receive all of the above, as well as a network map and free shipping. The best of the best, or the platinum dealers, will also get a wiring schematic on top of everything else.

The Indigo app will debut first at EI Live! 2018 on the company’s stand #100 and #101.
