For the sixth year running, CEDIA trade supplier FS Cables will return to Sandown Park for the EI Live! exhibition. Located on Stand 25, the FS team will be available to chat about attendees’ home automation and building control cabling requirements.

Visitors can also find out more about the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and how it will affect them. From July 1 2017, most of the cables specified should be tested for compliance with the new CPR law. The TruHD HDBaseT recommended Cat 5E, Cat 6 and Cat 6A cables are now CPR compliant. Visitors are encouraged to take the opportunity to speak to the team and ensure that they are ready for the change.

FS Cables is keen for installers of audio equipment to look at its newly-launched 16AWG weatherproof speaker cables. These cables feature a clever water blocking tape which, when in contact with moisture, swells to form a non-toxic jelly. This prevents water from travelling down the cable, making it particularly suitable for outdoor installations, while remaining clean and easy to terminate compared to normal jelly-filled cable.
