BenQ has released a new 4K Monitor intended for general video enjoyment and console gaming. The BenQ EL2870U also features HDR 10 support though since it's based on a TN panel with the peak brightness of 300 nits, the HDR support is software enabled only. The main asset of the TN panel monitors is the rapid 1ms response time speed which eliminates ghosting of the fast-moving objects. In video games, you will be able to enjoy FPS, racing, and other fast-paced games with minimal motion blur. However, such speed comes at the cost of color quality and viewing angles. The TN panel of the BenQ EL2870U 4K monitor offers 1.07 billion colors but in comparison to the IPS and VA panel display, the picture is washed out and when you look at the screen from certain angles, the image will shift in colors and contrast due to the 170/160 degree viewing angles.
