BenQ has announced yet another gaming Monitor from their XL series aimed at high-end competitive gamers. The BenQ Zowie XL2740 is a 240Hz monitor for gaming, identical to the recently announced XL2470 model in every way, except for the screen size. Those who find 24-inch monitors too small will be able to opt for the 27-inch XL2740 and enjoy the bigger screen. The Benq Zowie XL2740 is based on a TN panel, just like every other 240Hz display so far. While the TN panel technology provides you with narrow viewing angles and washed out colors in comparison to the IPS and VA panel displays, it also allows for the quickest response time speed of 1 millisecond. This means that the pixel transition time is instantaneous and leaves no trails of ghosting or motion blur behind fast-moving objects.
