What Online Marketing Companies Can Say About The Playstation Classic

By Arthur Williams

Sony is one of the more notable names in the video game industry today, as evidenced by the success of the PS4, which is growing as time goes on. There are other aspects of the gaming world that they've covered as well, the most recent being the "mini console" craze. Online marketing companies can attest that the Playstation Classic has become a hot topic in the industry. Here is what you should know about this device prior to its release.

If you were familiar with the Super Nintendo and the SNES Classic Edition, the PlayStation Classic follows the same principle. According to such names as, it's a miniature device that's modeled after the original PlayStation console, which came out in the United States in 1995. Furthermore, it will come with 20 games that can be played right out of the box. For those that grew up with the original system, this new device is likely to pique your interest.

You may be curious to know which games have made the cut for the PlayStation Classic. There are quite a few to choose from, ranging from RPGs like "Final Fantasy VII" to racers like "Ridge Racer 4." What this means, in theory, is that there will be something for everyone to enjoy. If you're not a fan of a particular genre, there will be another that the PlayStation Classic will represent. It's this type of variety that makes these mini consoles all the more intriguing.

The PlayStation Classic isn't perfect, however, as many long-time gamers and potential customers have noted. A common criticism has to do with the controllers, in that they lack analog sticks. While this is in line with the original controllers, they have gotten better since then. Also, there is no AC adapter included in the box. Many people have considered the $100 asking price to be steep, too. Given that Nintendo's recent mini consoles have been more affordable by comparison, one has to wonder how Sony's will fare.

For those that have grown up with the PS1, or simply desire a convenient way to play the included games, the PlayStation Classic seems like a no-brainer. While it has the potential to be a hot seller upon its release, there is much to learn. After all, we still don't know the entirety of the games that will be included. Such information can make or break this device's success, but it goes without saying that it will continue to have the attention of others.
