MTN Launches mPulse Tariff for Tweens & Teens – I am not concluding on this, but the fact speaks for itself. What I mean is that MTN has continually shown its commitment to equip both old and young Nigerians with amazing data and call offers. The Nigerian-based Telecommunication company recently launched what it called ‘MTN mPulse’ tariff plan for young Nigerians.
mPulse is a service from MTN which equips young Nigerians between the ages of 9 and 15 with all the resources they need to maximize their potential and be all they want to be. The service has two features: the mPulse tariff and the mPulse website.

The Mpulse Tariff offers students with mind-blowing data bundles and other gifts/bonuses with which they can access the mPulse website. The mPulse website on the other hand offers provides resources for primary, junior and senior secondary school students to develop their strengths and passions. It features certified preparation materials and past questions for Common Entrance, JSCE, WAEC, JAMB, Post UME, intellectual games and a wide array of skill development tutorial videos.
MTN mPulse Data Plan & Bundle
MTN mPulse is a basic prepaid plan that allows Pre-Teen and Teen customers between the age bracket of 9 and 15 years enjoy, Special data bundles, Special Birthday reward, lots of other exciting offers and National calls at 15k/secs.
mPulse Special Data Bundle:
Using the service, Pre-teens and teens will get the following the data bundles and freebies to enjoy;
» 350MB for 7 days for just N50 (Weekly plan).
» 1.2GB for 30 days for just N150 (Monthly plan)
Note: Data bundles will ONLY be used on mPulse website and app. To be browse on other websites, you will need the regular MTN data bundle.
Other Things to Enjoy on mPulse Tariff Plan:

How to Migrate to MTN mPulse Plan
ALL MTNN Pre-Teen and Teen customers between the age bracket of 9 and 15 years can migrate to MTN mPulse tariff plan. To migrate to mPulse plan, simply do any of the following:
- Dial *344*1# OR
- Send ‘mPulse’ to 131 OR
- Download MyMTNApp, go to tariff plan and select mPulse
Note: Migrating into mPulse tariff plan for the first migration in 30 days is FREE. However, subsequent migrations within the same month will attract N100 migration fee.
How to Subscribe mPulse Weekly & Monthly Plan
To subscribe to mPulse weekly and monthly plan, you will need to follow any of the four steps below;
- For Weekly bundle of 350MB, send 350 to 344.
- For Monthly bundle of 1.2GB, send 351 to 344.
- Dial *344# and then, select data bundle of choice from the menu.
- From mPulse website, from the drop down menu of student dashboard, select data bundle of your choice from the list of bundles.
If after activating a data bundle, you receive a pop-up menu to choose either One-off or Recurrent option, the Pop-up menu is a new feature that allows you to set your data bundle on One-off or Recurrent purchase:
- One-Off Purchase means that your data bundle will not renew after expiry.
- Recurrent Purchase means your data bundle will auto-renew after expiry.
Note: To check your mPulse data bundle balance, simply dial *344*2*2# or open MyMTNApp and click on check your mPulse data balance.

How to Register as a Parent to be Transferring Airtime/Data to your Child’s Number
To transfer airtime/data to your child’s number, you will be required to follow the steps below:
Step 1: Register for Parent-Child linking service by dialing *344*5*1#.
Step 2: Once you have registered for the service, you will be required to register your child’s number as your beneficiary by dialing *344*5*1#. You will be able to add your child via MyMTNNApp or mPulse website.
Step 3: Upon dialing *344*5*1#, you will be required to enter your Child’s number, select Product type (either Airtime Weekly, Data Weekly, Airtime Monthly or Data Monthly), after which you select airtime or data value then your self-care
Step 4: Once the system receives your request, it will check to confirm if you have enough airtime to complete your transaction. If you have enough airtime, the transaction will be completed.
Note that as the Parent, you can use Parent-Child linking service while all tariff plan EXCEPT mPulse plan BUT your child MUST be on mPulse to benefit from the service.
