Don’t ever lose your child with this GPS watch

Originally developed by the United States Government in 1973, the Global Positioning System(GPS), or Navstar, was made to help the military, civil and commercial users to provide exact locations anywhere in the world, through any weather. Previous navigation systems had certain limitations such as weather related shortcomings or obstacles prevented them from working regularly.

That was the basis for the current GPS innovation. Currently, the GPS is used for getting directions worldwide, and anybody in possession of any Gps Enabled device can access this valuable service. It is still the sole property of the American Government and can be denied by Uncle Sam in the event of abuse like it was rejected to the Indian Military.

Now it is possible to track your kids using GPS technology. It came in the form of a watch and was developed to avoid those stressful moments when a parent has no idea where their kid(s) are. POMO WAFFLE has designed a fashionable GPS watch, perfect for little wrists to give you peace of mind on your child’s location.

How this GPS watch for kids works

This GPS watch works within the GPS system where signals are sent to the 24 satellites that circle the earth. The satellites emit signals simultaneously, and they are received in planes, cars, and mobile phones. These signals can then be used to calculate exact location. In the event a GPS enabled device can receive signals from at least 3 of the 24 Satellites, then longitude, latitude, altitude, speed, and position can then be calculated with a margin error of just a few meters.

All a parent needs is a GPS enabled phone that links it to the watch, and the kid(s) can be traced at anytime from anywhere in the world.

Features of kids GPS watches

The GPS kid’s Watches technology has evolved, and the variety that is available is mind boggling. The basis of the technology, though, is the ability to trace kids and teenagers and in turn give parents peace of mind and a sense of safety. The features of the watches in the market vary in what each can achieve.

Some watches, like the TBS kids phone watch and the Oxking tracking watch for kids, are equipped with an SOS button which is then equipped with sensors. In case your child feels unwell or something else is wrong, the sensor pushes an SOS button, alerting the parent or guardian directly through a phone number saved on the watch.

A case of being protective or paranoid?

If a parent wants to know where their child is on a map, all one needs to do is send a text message to the GPS device, and the reply text comes with the exact location of the kid on a map. For toddlers who cannot wear watches, a bracelet is available, but these do not require GPS because children between 2-6 years of age are rarely unaccompanied. But the bracelet can still be tracked through other means.

For teenagers, watches are a bit tricky because they have been known to be rebellious. But if your teen drives, there are discreet car tracking devices available for this highly volatile group of kids.

In addition to location, GPS watches can also monitor a child’s health and activity levels. This can help combat obesity and identify other health problems in advance. The days when trackers were just luxury devices are long gone; nowadays they are a necessity and pretty widely available.
