It’s not just the EFL Championship table that Leeds United are topping at the moment. Leeds’ young guns aren’t doing so badly either as their U-23 team are sitting pretty at the summit of the Professional Development League.
Leeds U-23 took on Bristol U-23 on Friday at Elland Road hoping to consolidate their position at the top of the table. In the end, Bristol were no match for the Peacocks who demolished them 5-0, playing some beautiful football along that way.
The third goal of the game in particular, scored by the highly-rated Jack Clarke, caught a lot of people’s attention for how beautifully it was constructed. Leeds calmly passed their way around their opponents and worked the ball to Jack Harrison on the left-flank, whose cross was brilliantly volleyed into the top corner by Clarke. Jack Clarke’s form has gotten Leeds fans on social media clamoring for the youngster to be given a chance in the first team. If he keeps on playing like this, Clarke certainly can’t be far away from forcing himself into Bielsa’s plans.

There is a very big chance that Jack Clarke will not only be a part of the first team squad this year if he keeps going, but will be a starter! #lufc

Got a feeling it is not going to be long before young Jack Clarke is in the first team @LUFC. His under 23 performances have been getting better and better. #baller
