New partnership brewing at Arsenal?

Alexandre Lacazette ended his goal drought, finishing a flowing move as Arsenal struck their fourth goal in 22 minutes against a hapless Crystal Palace side. The Frenchman curled home after a delicious flick from Mesut Ozil, who was untouchable on the day for the Gunners.



The number 9 who had been under increasing pressure after a barren spell, straightaway embraced his assist provider during celebrations, forming a view that would put actual lovers to shame.

Ozil has been linked with a move away when his contract expires this summer and the moment fully epitomized the collective feeling around the Emirates of keeping their talisman at all cost.

His performance against the Eagles certainly merited his status at Arsenal with fellow mates thriving on his vision and creativity to dispatch strugglers Palace 4-1. Perhaps a new partnership is in place between the number 9 and number 11.
