Ever since making the move to Tottenham from Ajax in the summer of 2013, Christian Eriksen, true to his early potential has blossomed into a world-class star with the 25-year-old becoming the highest scoring Dane in the Premier League.

On Tuesday night though, Eriksen surprisingly had one of his less impressive performances as he was constantly marked out by the Real Madrid players. Subdued as his performance was, Eriksen nonetheless came up with some of the timely glimpses of skill whenever on the ball.

One such moment was when Eriksen shrugged off the attention of the advancing Isco with a deft touch that left the Spanish midfielder chasing shadows rather than the ball.
