Tottenham yet again struggled to get going at the Wembley Stadium as they laboured past a resilient Barnsley side 1-0 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
In what was a poor match by Tottenham’s high standards, it was the performance of debutant Juan Foyth that had fans buzzing. The 19-year-old summer arrival put in an decent shift at the back on his first outing in English football.
Foyth showed good composure on the ball and one particular instance of the match just about highlighted his excellent composure, when the Argentine took a run at Burnley after brilliantly winning the ball in his own half.
