Griezmann: Will He, Won’t He?
The speculation surrounding Antonio Griezmann’s proposed Transfer to Manchester United continues to intensify. Observation from The Independent’s Chief Football Correspondent Miguel Delaney revealed that while personal terms have been agreed upon, a move to Old Trafford seems unlikely for the French Ace.

Delaney himself stated three reasons why he felt the transfer would not go through:
Among the reasons cited, Atletico Madrid’s plans to move to a new stadium after 50 years at the Vicente Calderon as a major hindrance with the Spanish side keen to hold on to their key asset.
Further, differences in legal systems between Spain and other nations complicates the release clause in a player’s contract, with reports that a purchasing club would be required to pay 20 to 47% tax on the stipulated amount, representing a massive layout for one transfer.
Rumours surrounding Griezmann having his sights set on a transfer to Real Madrid would also temper United’s ambition, as they have already faced transfer tensions with the Spanish giants over Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea in the past.
Interestingly, Delaney went on to state that Griezmann may not be United’s top priority any longer.
