GAME DAY REPORT: PREDATORS AT MAPLE LEAFS (7:30 PM–SN)

Well it appears the Toronto Maple Leafs dodged a bullet after a massive win versus the Anaheim (not so mighty) Ducks on Monday.

The Leafs Number 1 goalie, Frederik Andersen is expected to start between the pipes this evening for the home team.

Andersen, narrowly escaped a significant injury when Corey Perry dove thru the crease in the last game kicking the Leafs goalie in the mask.  Andersen practiced yesterday and was announced as the started today by Coach Babcock.

Ok so what can we expect from the Maple Leafs tonite?

The Predators come into the ACC with a 32-12-7 record and starting goaltender, Pekke Rinne has won his last 8 games in a row.

This team is fast and talented, they currently sit  5th in the NHL with 71 pts and have an impressive +30 goal differential.

Leafs will need to pay attention to the little details, and stay out of the penalty box.

It will be interesting to see how Rookie Defenceman Travis Dermott is used in this game and who he will be paired with for the ENTIRE game.

Jake Gardiner now 13 pts in his last 9 games and is showing exactly what Leafs fans saw last year and into the Playoffs.

Can he keep it up?  Sure as hell hope so.

How long will the leash be for the Marleau-Kadri-Marner line?  I expect its short.

Will JVR-Bozak-Brown show up?    Would be nice.

Prediction:  Leafs 3  Nashville 2
