Dubbed the split-tongued masterpiece, the Asics Gel-Lyte IIIs are known for being some of the lightest trainers going and since its release in 1990, has been a staple for runners around the world.

The Japanese brand, renowned for its high performance gel cushioned footwear, have tapped into Valentine’s Day fever and released a Pack in celebration of the day where love is in the air.

Coming in two separate colourways – the in-demand all red ‘Cupid’ and much sought after triple black ‘Black Heart’ – the Roman god’s bow has not only influenced the design of the pack, but been physically imprinted on the neoprene fabric of the red trainer.

Its highly anticipated annual Valentine’s Day pack this year sees designers bring in suede leather overlays to the upper while it’s business as usual with mesh, nylon and 3M reflective detailing found at both the heel and toe. Completed with iconic ASICS branding, this archetypal design is reminiscent of the brand’s early days.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2015 – the same year the company relaunched their ASICS Tiger lifestyle brand – the Gel-Lyte III silhouette is innovative and respected. Its vintage look has turned heads for decades so it’s only right ASICS represent the most romantic day in the calendar year and pays tribute to the God of love.

It’s the perfect substitute for a dozen roses and will definitely last longer.
