The Premier League is back!

And you know what that means, the Prediction Battle is back on.

Yeah I had been absent for a while but I wanted the league to settle in properly you know? I had been winning the battles easily so I wanted my guests to be well prepared and meet me in on a level playing field.

Opening our curtains would be Adeleke Ogunnaike, a friend of the edition. To be honest I'm surprised he is always available to this considering the Ls I continue to dish out to him. I must be the Serena Williams to this Maria Sharapova.

Leke (@sabrenoir) is out doing the country proud in a place where goats roam freely on the road and in his clarion call has heeded to ours to come face me in this matchup.

Man City vs Liverpool*

Man City welcome Liverpool to Etihad in an early kick-off. Both teams enter the game on the back of wins before the international break. Liverpool looked unstoppable against Arsenal but I would favor Man City to get the job done here, I just don't trust the Reds' backline against City's attacking front.

Chuka: 3-1
Leke: 2-2

Arsenal vs Bournemouth

I would say an easy win for Arsenal but you know how the Gunners behave at times. The Gunners need a win badly to calm any pressure coming out from stands this early on (Read: Hell Hath No Fury Like A Scorned Gunner) Arsenal are yet to lose a game to the Cherries and have been victorious in all games at the Emirates.

Chuka: 3-0
Leke: 2-1

Brighton vs West Brom
Chris Hughton's men might finally open their scoring accounts on Saturday against the Baggies but I think it would be a task too much for the Seagulls to win at home to West Brom. West Brom look a solid side now and are fifth on the log. Too early but still?

Chuka: 1-4
Leke: 1-0

Everton vs Spurs

Another big game of the weekend. Everton face Tottenham after just facing Man City and Chelsea both at home. The Toffees picked up a point from the two encounters and might be able to just get another. I'm going for a draw here, Koeman knows how to right his wrongs.

Chuka: 2-2
Leke: 1-2

Leicester vs Chelsea

Ex-Champions vs current champions. I would like to think a draw is written all over this one but I think Chelsea might just grab a win here. I'm interested to see the reception Danny Drinkwater would get after forcing a move out of the club to Chelsea.

Chuka: 1-2
Leke: 0-2

Southampton vs Watford
The two clubs are both level on points and although Watford top with the goal difference, I'm going to go for a Saints' win. Simply put- HOME ADVANTAGE.

Chuka: 2-0
Leke: 1-0

Stoke vs Man Utd

Man Utd are flying high and are yet to concede in the league this season. They travel to Britannia where they are yet to win Post-Ferguson but I think the Red Devils might avoid conceding again and just put in a decent shift with a nice win.

Chuka: 0-2
Leke: 0-3

Burnley vs Crystal Palace
Frank de Boer does not know what is doing him yet, he would soon find out. The Eagles are yet to register a goal this season and lie 19th on the table. Now Crystal Palace might score but we all know how Turf 'tough' Moor was last season. Burnley to win.

Chuka: 2-1
Leke: 1-1

Swansea vs Newcastle United
Newcastle United finally got their campaign going right with a nice win over West Ham at home but they face a Swansea side that just got Wilfried Bony back into the team and are looking to grab all three points. I think it might be a drab affair so I'd go with a draw

Chuka: 1-1
Leke: 2-2

West Ham vs Huddersfield
A Monday night fixture. The Hammers would be relishing this encounter as they would expect to be able to see off Huddersfield easily when they come visiting. Now Huddersfield are no walkovers certainly but I believe no matter how poor the Hammers have been this season, they should just have enough firepower to register their first win of the season.
