Manchester United are closing in on an astonishing £70million purchase of Borussia Dortmund Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer according to Dailymail
The Club will carry on pursuing transfer targets despite the uncertainty that surrounds manager Louis Van Gaal and Exedcutive Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward told shareholders that the club has cash reserves in excess of £121.6m and also suggested there would be marquee signings in the summer.
Neymar, Robert Lewandowski and Gareth Bale are also believed to be on the United shopping list but Aubameyang is believed to be a more-likely signing for the Old Trafford club.
The Gabonese striker has scored 26 goals for Borussia Dortmund this season and is widely considered as the best striker in the world currently.
It remains to be seen, however, if Van Gaal will have any say in the signings as it is uncertain he will remain in charge at the end of the season.
The 63-year old has been under increased pressure following United’s less than impressive run in the Premier League, as well as their group stage exit in the Champions League and the speculation surrounding his future will continue after they lost again, 2-1 to Sunderland on Saturday.
