PSG Held By Lille After An Outstanding Display By Vincent Enyeama


Paris Saint-Germain extended their current Ligue 1 unbeaten run to 35 games despite being Held to a 0-0 draw by Lille at the Parc des Princes.

Lille were looking to avenge a 6-1 defeat last time out in Paris and, despite heavy pressure from the hosts, Frederic Antonetti's side held on for a point.

Despite resting Maxwell, Thiago Silva, Thiago Motta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, PSG almost took an early lead when Jean-Kevin Augustin went through on goal on nine minutes but a diving Vincent Enyeama denied the youngster.

Lille threatened occasionally on the break but the hosts Continued to look the more dangerous as the half wore on. Javier Pastore fired over from distance before Layvin Kurzawa saw his header cleared off the line by Rio Mavuba with the half-time whistle looming.

The Hosts Continued to create chances straight from the restart but Angel Di Maria's weak Effort from Augustin's delivery was gathered by Enyeama before Edinson Cavani's close-range effort flew over the crossbar.

Lille continued to thwart their hosts as Lucas Moura saw a long-range effort pushed away by Enyeama as Laurent Blanc, who signed a two-year extension to his contract in midweek, looked on from the sidelines.

Chances continued to come and go for the league leaders as Cavani was outsmarted again by Enyeama before Moura's bicycle kick failed to find the target.


Despite Marquinhos' efforts in stoppage time, though, PSG's record of 17 straight wins in all competitions came to an end, largely thanks to Enyeama's efforts.
