Shenhua are understood to have had a offer worth £5.5million-a-year (about 42 million naira weekly) on the table for the marksman who scrapped his loan deal at UAE club Al Ain to move to England. The Chinese Super League outfit have since expressed an interest in Chelsea striker Loic Remy but the Blues are understood to be unwilling to release him due to their lack of options.
As a result Shenhua are ready to return for Emenike’s services in the summer. The player remains under contract to Fenerbahce until June 2017.
