Rivers United vs KCCA 2-1
Rivers United were able to see off Kcca in Group A's matchday four clash at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Having lost the reverse fixture in Kampala 2-1, Rivers United would get off to a flying start. Club hitman Bernard Ovoke opened the scoring within the first minute to remind the country the quality he still possesses.

Soon after the Port Harcourt side would double their lead through a stunning finish from Frederick Obomate in the 15th minute, the player grabbing his first goal of the season in style.

KCCA would pull one back just before the break courtesy of Godfrey Serunkunma.

It was as-you-were after the break but the Ugandan side were forced into a change in the 51st minute after goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo would be substituted due to injury and be replaced by Benjamin Ochan.

In the 89th minute, KCCA's Habib Kavuma was sent off for a second yellow card.
The win temporarily takes Rivers United to second position on six points, while KCCA drops to third.

Rivers United's next game is at home against Club Africain of Tunisia which comes up on Sunday, July 2.
