Today's Gossip: Hammers Table Bid For Mandzukic, Galatasaray Targets Chelsea's Nigerian Starlet

West Ham Consider Bid For Mandzukic
West Ham are considering making a summer bid to sign Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Hammers have highlighted the 30-year-old Croation as they desperately try to find a regular goalscorer to lead their attack at the London Stadium.

The constant fitness issues surrounding Andy Carroll have forced manager Slaven Bilic to prioritise signing at least one attacker over the summer.
Mandzukic has been on the club’s radar for the last 18 months and Bilic made an enquiry last year but was rebuffed by the Serie A Club. But Juventus are now understood to be open to the idea of selling the former Bayern Munich star at the end of this season – putting the Hammers on alert.

Mandzukic enjoyed two prolific seasons at Bayern, scoring 33 goals in 54 appearances for the German club and also won the Champions League in 2013.

Galatasaray Target Chelsea's Starlet
Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham has emerged as a shock loan target for Galatasaray.

The starlet striker has shone at Bristol City this season but is likely to have to bide his time for regular action when he returns to Chelsea.

Reports in Turkey suggest that Gala boss Igor Tudor could persuade pal Antonio Conte to let the 19-year-old spend next season developing his game in Turkey.
Bristol City had to provide a presentation to Chelsea before they were able to convince them that Ashton Gate was the right destination for their asset.

And the decision has worked out for both parties so far, with the striker netting 18 times in 32 league appearances to give Lee Johnson's side a fighting chance of staying in the Championship.

Abraham missed five games with a thigh strain but returned for City's vital 1-0 win at Wigan on Saturday, helping to lift them out of the drop zone.
