West Ham United got a scare on the eve of tonight's clash with Manchester City in the shape of Raheem Sterling.
When Sterling limped out of City's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last time out there was relief for Hammers fans.
The England star enjoys playing against West Ham.
In a backhanded compliment, West Ham supporters were glad they would not have to face him.
Hammers were relieved not facing Sterling
But then Storm Ciara intervened, which saw the fixture put back 10 days.
So when a report emerged overnight that Raheem Sterling had returned to training ahead of the West Ham match, it would have given the Hammers a fright.
The Daily Mail's report titled 'Raheem Sterling's return to training Peps up Guardiola ahead of Premier League clash with West Ham' seemed to suggest the forward could be available for the match against David Moyes's side.
But on closer inspection Sterling has only returned to light training with a view to facing Real Madrid in the Champions League last 16 next week.
Report gives West Ham a scare, but no need to worry
Cue a collective sigh of relief around East London.
Not that City don't have a plethora of top class stars to take Sterling's place.
Leroy Sane won't be one of them, though, according to the same Daily Mail report.
Sane has been out all season but was tipped to return against West Ham.
At best he will be on the bench, though, it seems with Leicester at the weekend and Madrid a more realistic target for the German winger.
Moyes has it all to do to keep West Ham up
Usually a game against Manchester City would be a free hit for West Ham.
But West Ham are in the bottom three with 13 games to go. And Moyes must pull a rabbit or two out of the hat to survive.
Things don't get any easier after tonight's trip to the Etihad either with Liverpool up next.
