Pablo Fornals joined West Ham from Villarreal for around £24 million in the summer.
And despite high expectations surrounding his switch to the Hammers, he has made a slow start to life in east London.
The 23-year-old has made just two starts, along with three substitute appearances, racking up one goal in the process.
So could Monday's clash against Aston Villa be the ideal time to unleash Fornals?
The Spaniard has now had plenty of time to acclimatise to his new surroundings, and Villa away could be the perfect type of game for him to prove his worth to West Ham.
The Villans are renowned for playing an attacking, expansive brand of football. And that should provide the Hammers with plenty of space to hurt the hosts in the final third.
Andriy Yarmolenko has only just come back from a long-term injury. So it might be prudent for Manuel Pellegrini to drop the Ukrainian back to the bench, in order to avoid risking any further setbacks.
Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson could then operate on either wing, opening up the number 10 role to Fornals.
The former Villarreal man has been eased into life in England. Now might just be the time for him to announce himself to the Premier League, however.
He is obviously a brilliant talent, and the prospect of him lining up alongside Lanzini, Anderson and Haller really must be an exciting one for West Ham fans.
