Unfortunately, injuries are not always something that can be fixed by Week 1 and that seems to be the case for Lions LB and special teamer Steve Longa, who may have tore his ACL against the Giants. The #Lions may have lost LB and special teamer Steve Longa for the season. The fear is Longa, spotted by reporters wearing a bulky brace, tore his ACL last night vs #Giants, source said. He’s getting an MRI to determine the final result. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) August 18, 2018 Longa, who served mostly as a backup linebacker, was a key member of the Lions special teams and he will be missed. As we know, depth at the LB position is not something the Lions have, so this is a blow.
