The Detroit Lions have an extremely busy and important offseason ahead of them. Well, that is, for Bob Quinn and the rest of the management. As for the players, their offseason will start with some well-deserved rest, vacations, and golf. Lions’ wide receiver, Golden Tate, appears to be excited about the golfing aspect that the offseason allows. Tate posted a video on Instagram to share his excitement about the upcoming golf season and in hindsight, he may have been better off just tweeting his excitement verbally.

However, Tate is not delusional about his apparent lack of golfing skills as he accompanied the video with the caption “Golf season starts for me tmrw…unfortunately that is”.
Golf season for me starts tmrw….. unfortunately that is. (Watch all the way until the end)
This is not the first time Golden Tate has shown his golf swing. Although it did look a lot better the last time he brought out the clubs. Golden Tate does not appear to be in mid-season form yet and to be fair, his offseason just started.
Win, makes plays, have fun! Had to pull out the fist pump in homage to my guy @TigerWoods ! #Showtime #OnePride #ProbowlVote #GoldenTate pic.twitter.com/SJZqtHg3j4

Although Tate’s swing was not the best we’ve seen, it certainly was not the worst from a professional athlete. Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley take the cake for that.

Golden Tate will enter the offseason after another productive year for the Lions in which he totaled 93 receptions for 1003 yards. And after watching that video, it makes it safe to say, stick to your day job.
