In the initial step of an attempt to resurrect the Offensive line, the Lions have signed offensive tackle Lamar Holmes.

After letting opponents pass rushes through the line at an alarming rate last season, overhauling the o-line is a priority this off-season. RT LaAdrian Waddle was cut late last season, and replacement Michael Ola is a free agent, which led the Lions to Holmes.

A 2012 third round pick of the Atlanta Falcons, Holmes spent the first four years of his career there, though he has fought foot injuries throughout the duration of his NFL career to this point. He started 19 games in those four years, but didn't play in a single game last season due to a broken foot.
