Goalkeeping Duo Abbiati-Amelia To Leave, Krul To Arrive

Stronghold guardians revolution waiting to happen at Milan!

It seems that is time for Milan to swap veteran ‘keepers with a brand new fresh blood company.

If it is to be believed Tuttosport, both Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia are set to leave the club in June 2014.

Abbiati, who has been a Rossoneri member ever since 1998, has a contract expiring next summer and will stay only if accepts to be taken off the starting spot. Whilst, World Cup 2006 winner Amelia is expected to quit due to a grand struggle for minutes.

Former Brazil U-20 international Gabriel remains the only successor of next season’s goalkeeping role, even though he still has a lot to learn. However, the Turin-based newspaper suggests that Milan have reignited interest in Newcastle hero Tim Krul, who could opt for a new side so as to make his World Cup 2014 dream come true.

The Dutchman was inspirational during 1-0 Premier League win over Tottenham on Sunday. He pulled off a series of near-miraculous saves to deny the hosts during a fraught, second-half onslaught, leaving White Hart Lane with the man-of-the-match award.

If favor of Krul moving at the San Siro would definitely be the fact that legend Clarence Seedorf is a candidate to take Massimiliano Allegri’s job.

In addition, Anders Lindegaard, who is believed to be considering his future at Manchester United, is also on the wishlist.
