Blue Angels flying back to Vero Beach in 2018

VERO BEACH — The Blue Angels are returning to Vero Beach! The elite U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron announced recently at the International Council of Airshows Convention in Las Vegas that they will perform in Vero Beach from April 21 to 22, 2018. Robert Paugh, president of the board of directors, reveals the 2018 air show will again be held at the Vero Beach Regional Airport. The elite jet flight team first performed at the 2014 Vero Beach Air Show, thrilling the thousands of people attending the show. That was their first performance on the Treasure Coast. Jeff Kuss, Blue Angel No. 6, earlier that month in Tennessee. Lt. John “Toby” Keith and Lt. Jaime “Eeyore” Moreno of U. S. Navy TAC DEMO Squadron (106) flew their F/A-18 Hornets in the Blues’ slot with the number 6 on the plane to memorialize the fallen Angel.
