All business establishments remained shut while as traffic remained off the roads. Amid shutdown, people continued to visit residence of the slain Youth Tanveer Ahmad Wani who was shot dead by foot patrol party of 53 Rashtriya Rifiles on Friday afternoon.
Police has registered an FIR number 74 under section 307 RPC at police station Beerwah into the killing. A senior police officer told Greater Kashmir that statements of slain youth’s family members would be recorded after Chahrum of Tanveer Wani. “Right now other perquisite formalities are being done under this FIR,” he said.
Meanwhile, mobile Internet services were restored after two days in the district.
