Konversation with Educator, History Lover, & Humanitarian Aditi Maheshwari

This week’s Konversation is with Aditi Maheshwari from Indore, India. A woman of many talents, Aditi offers a whole range of sessions on Konversai, including Hindi, Sanskrit, math, yoga, Indian cooking, and Indian history. She is also fluent in English, French, and Arabic. Aditi is currently studying history. As an educator, she is passionate about youth empowerment and enjoys volunteering her time with youth who are not able to attend school. Konversai: What does a typical day look like for you? This could include at work and/or outside of work.

Aditi: I am student, so a typical day for me is going to college and then studying on my own. My morning begins with yoga, and my day ends with completing assignments.

Konversai: How did you end up where you are today?

Aditi: I am from a science background and am an engineer by degree. But I found my interest in arts, particularly history, geography, and political science. I am pursuing my post-graduation in Indian history.

Konversai: Do you have a favorite time period in history? If so, what is it and why?

Aditi: I think stone age is my favorite because people were really very close to nature.

Konversai: What is your favorite thing about what you do?

Aditi: I love to learn and teach. Nowadays, I am a part of an NGO where we teach kids who are unable to go school. My favorite thing is meeting them and trying to bring change in their life through education.

Konversai: How did you decide to offer the sessions you offer on Konversai?

Aditi: I have been a teacher at a local institute in Indore. When I learnt about Konversai, I thought this would be a great platform to reach out to people and share and learn new things.

Konversai: Do you have a favorite session that you offer on Konversai?

Aditi: Yes, Hindi is my favorite session so far. But I think once I am giving history sessions, that would be awesome too.

Konversai: What do you like best about being a provider on Konversai?

Aditi: I like the ease and convenience this platform provides. Also, its workings are very transparent, and customer service is excellent. I have always got my queries resolved.

Konversai: Are there additional sessions you are hoping to offer on Konversai in the future?

Aditi: Yes, there are many. I am looking forward to providing sessions on both Indian and world geography and also on Indian politics. I am quite good at quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning, so maybe those too.

Aditi: I provide sessions according to needs and goals of the learner. I also try unconventional methods to teach, like flashcards. I am concept oriented, and I do extensive research before teaching. Interaction with learners and doubt resolution are the things on which I lay my focus.

Aditi: Yes, I want to learn so many things. Topics like world history, Spanish, traveling, and international cuisines attract me most.

Konversai: What do you enjoy doing outside of work and Konversing?

Aditi: I enjoy cooking and socializing with little kids at the NGO.
