Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lists Anthony Martial for sale due to ‘Attitude problem’
Today it was revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has listed Anthony Martial for sale, due to a supposed ‘attitude problem’. Since arriving in 2015 for an eye watering £58 million, Martial has played 167 times for Manchester United, scoring 55 times in the process. He is now 25 years old and arguably should be entering his prime years. However, things seem to have fallen apart for him and The Red Devils.
This decline can be seen in his stats for this season, making only 22 league appearances with a return of just 4 goals. Last season, Martial scored 17 in 32 for comparison. He has also previously spoken about leaving Old Trafford and combined with marital woes, seems to go against the ideal player that Solskjaer is trying to create at Man Utd.
Interesting, there are already a number of suitors who are after the Frenchman’s signature. The likes of Real Madrid have already been linked, who are apparently keen on landing the star on a cut-price deal. Arguably, if you could get Martial firing on all levels, he could turn out to be a shrewd signing. However, his form at Man Utd has been patchy at times, and his sale could be used to fund the arrival of Jadon Sancho as a result.
Things could move quickly too. As Martial was not selected for the France Euro 2021 squad, he could be signed in a matter of weeks, depending on who wants him, and for what price.
