Man City Bouncing Back, Arsenal Winning Run Ended

Man City Bouncing Back, Arsenal Winning Run Ended

Manchester City didn’t need to wait long in getting their Winning chapter back again after their previous defeat against Chelsea as Pep Guardiola’s men were victorious again this weekend.

Keen on redeeming themselves after their 2-0 loss against The Blues in previous league fixture, City went on the offensive as they battle Everton at Etihad stadium.

Gabriel Jesus was key for the home sides victory on Saturday as he bagged two goals to complete their 3-1 win over The Toffees.

Jesus started his goal scoring spree on 22 minutes to give his side that slender lead as they go into half time break, before adding his second on 55 minutes.

Everton were able to make things interesting as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored on 65 minutes, but that situation didn’t last long as four minutes later Man City regained their two goals advantage.

It was Raheem Sterling who netted that all important third goal, showcasing his run of good form is indeed a prove of his improvement instead of just temporary moments.

Meanwhile, Arsenal saw their recent 22 games unbeaten run ended this weekend as they were beaten by Southampton.

Danny Ings bagged two goals for Sotton in that game, scoring on the 20th and 44th minutes to help his side eventually winning that tie 3-2.

Gunners also had Henrikh Mkhitaryan scoring two goals on 28 and 53 minutes, but it was The Saint that got the all important winner through Charlie Austin.

The substitute netted home his side’s precious winning strike five minutes from time to seal all three points and ending Unai Emery’s men excellent run.
