Chelsea Extend Lead at the Top, Arsenal Go Second

Chelsea extending their lead at the top of English Premier League following their 2-0 victory over Hull City this weekend at Stamford Bridge.

Having Diego Costa back in the starting line up, The Blues looking really determined in overcoming their opponent straight from kick off.

It was a rather tight battle though as Antonio Conte’s men were finding it hard in breaking down Hull’s defense, until Costa eventually broke the dead lock just before half time.

The away side put on strong effort after the break, but Chelsea finally sealed everything with a second goal, scored by Gary Cahill 10 minutes from time.

Meanwhile, Arsenal once again were able to put themselves sitting in second place as Arsene Wenger’s boys grabbed a dramatic winner versus Burnley.

Knowing that a victory can sent them sitting at runners up spot, Gunners were determined in acquiring all three points on that weekend encounter.

After a goalless first half, Arsenal finally got themselves in front through Skhodran Mustafi, but in the 93rd minute, Hull got on level terms through Andre Gray.

Just when the away team seemed to be acquiring one point from their travel, a dramatic incident happened as they earned a spot kick late in stoppage time and was converted by Alexis Sanchez.

In that game, Gunners saw their midfielder, Granit Xhaka sent off as well as the club’s manager, Wenger, who also got sent into the stands.
