Brazilian star dreaming about Manchester United summer move

Cruzeiro forward Alisson has revealed that he would love the chance to sign for Manchester United this summer.

The 22-year-old will be targeting a place in Brazil’s Olympic squad for this summer initially, and that in turn could prove to be the platform and opportunity to gain attention from clubs from around Europe.

However, not for the first time, he has mentioned United as being one of his ideal destinations, and it will now be up to him to prove that he deserves to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“It is true. I have a very special affection for the two clubs [United and Juventus], he told Goal Brazil.

“But as I said, today I’m more quiet head, more focused and clear, I have the dream of playing in Italy, if not in Juventus for any other team like Inter and Lazio and also dream of playing in England, which has a very cool and competitive football.

“In my opinion, the Premier League is the best league in the world, so I would love to play there or Italy.”

Alisson scored three goals and provided four assists in 21 appearances in all competitions last season, and will be hoping that he can build on that moving forward for both club and country.

Whether or not he has done enough to really warrant a move to Old Trafford is up for debate, as United will likely have their eyes on more proven talents in the summer transfer market.

However, as mentioned above, a strong showing in the Olympics will certainly open the door for a chance to display his talents in Europe, with Italy arguably a more realistic destination.

Serie A has undoubtedly become a landing spot for young talents hoping to prove themselves and earn a big move elsewhere, and that could certainly be the case for Alisson in the coming months.
