A significant number of Tottenham players “want out” this summer. That’s according to former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan and his ‘reliable source’.
Now, we’re not quite sure where he’s decided to grab this earth-shattering information, but he claims that he has been reliably informed that all is not well at White Hart Lane.
While he expressed his disappointment if that were the case, his suggestion didn’t go down well with Tottenham supporters on Twitter, nor did former Spurs star Graham Roberts find it all that believable, as seen below.
While Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been left disappointed again this season in the sense that they’ve fallen short of their ultimate goals of winning major trophies, it can’t take away from the fact that they have built something special at the club in the last two years or so.
With many of their top players committed to long-term deals, a new stadium on the way and the likelihood that the squad will be further strengthened this summer, it all looks positive from our viewpoint with regards to Tottenham.
On the flip side, there is an argument that their most influential players could look elsewhere due to that failure to win trophies, and if top clubs from the Premier League and around Europe are willing to offer more lucrative contracts.
Nevertheless, to suggest a “a number of players want out” seems a bit over the top, but I guess we’ll only really find out this summer when the transfer window opens for business.
Reliably Informed That a significant number of #thfc players "want out" which will be a bloody Shame https://t.co/orpw2qul7N
