Up next for Diadora is this extremely limited pair of the Diadora Squash that’s a part of a collaboration with Hanon. Named the Hanon x Diadora Squash St. Clair, this collab revisits the “Spirit of ’83,” which is a tribute to Aberdeen Football Club and its finest moment in 1983. On a rainy night in Sweden a group of eleven Scottish players won the European Cup Winners Cup led by then, upcoming manager Alex Ferguson. Overcoming Bayern Munich en route to the final in Gothenburg, the team saw off Spanish giants Real Madrid to secure the club’s first ever European trophy.
The Hanon x Diadora Squash St. Clair comes dressed in a Sky Blue, Black and White color scheme to mimic the colors of the St. Clair. The handcrafted in Italy sneaker comes constructed in a luxurious pig suede upper offset with a kangaroo leather tongue and heel tab, calf leather lining and footbed, and ostrich leather side stripe. The heels come with embossed “112” depicting the time of the winning goal. Dual branding is featured on each tongue and backtab, while the footbed and tongue backer are leather laminated and a rain pattern is printed on the insole to depict the weather on the night of the game. The side stripe on medial side of the foot is finished in Silver Grey to commemorate the Cup win.
Said to be limited to 150, the Hanon x Diadora Squash St. Clair will release at an invitation only event on Wednesday, October 25th from 4PM to 7PM. For more details on how to attend the event, click here.
