Remember the Nike Air Max 97/1 hybrid sneaker that Round Two owner Sean Wotherspoon designed for the first ever Nike Vote Forward competition back in March? His design ended up winning the competition and the shoe has now become a reality as he has unveiled it to the public.
This Nike Air Max 97/1 is inspired by Sean’s love for vintage Nike hats from the 1980s. The shoe features the upper of the Air Max 97 along with the sole unit of the Air Max 1. Seen in the images above, Sean’s design comes with colorful corduroy upper with frayed edges, velour from toe to heel, and custom insoles.
Sean has announced that the shoe will have a limited release in Virginia and Los Angeles next month followed by a wider global release on Air Max Day 2018. Do you plan on going after a pair?
