Nebraska Football Spring Practice #6 Report

The final workout before Spring Break!

For the sixth time this Spring season, the Nebraska Football team worked out in or near the Hawks Championship Center on Thursday.

The workout was the last one before the school’s Spring Break, and players will be off all next week due to no classes being in session.

Mike Riley spoke to the media after today’s workout & was asked about the Running Back race.

Most folks, myself included, think that Sophomore Tre Bryant is quickly becoming RB1, with Devine Ozigbo & Mikale Wilbon in the pecking order behind him.

As stated on Tuesday by his tweet, Keyshawn Johnson Jr. is getting at it finally.

Johnson cannot be in pads until his 3rd workout, per NCAA rules.

If you are looking at some interesting things on the Defensive side of the ball, here you go.

I have wondered if Jackson would eventually overtake Kalu at that boundary corner spot, but I dont think many would have bet that Kalu would be the one moving positions. Jackson, matter of factly, seemed more open moving to Safety before.

Quarterback race notes today? Here it is, summed up in one tweet:

There will be bad days, so take it all with a grain of salt. But, this would make me feel better:

That Stoltenberg news should make you smile. It could be total lip service, but it would not shock me to see him be NG1 at the Spring game.

Nebraska returns to the practice fields on March 28th, which will mark the halfway point to the Red/White Scrimmage on Saturday, April 15th.
