49ers fans know this could be a trap game for the Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars could very well be walking into a trap when they hit the field against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s a cross-country trip against a team on a three-game winning streak that may finally have its answer at quarterback.

We sat down with David Fucillo over at Niners Nation and he agreed — this has just as much chance being an easy win for the Jaguars as it does a trap game that sends them to Week 17 possibly needing a win.

What did Fucillo say about this game and the 49ers’ chances? Read below to find out:

Both teams are playing well right now. Both are riding three-game winning streaks, and while the 49ers have won four of their last five, the Jaguars have won seven of their last eight. I won't fool myself -- the Jaguars are a Super Bowl contender, while the 49ers are going to end up with a top-ten draft pick. However, this 49ers team is different than the 49ers team of four or five weeks ago. Optimism grew with the acquisition of Jimmy Garoppolo, but since moving into the lineup, it's gone crazy. He's helped lift this offense to a new level.

The question now is if it will be enough against the historically good Jaguars defense. I do think the 49ers can win this game, but I also think they could take a thumping against this defense. Blake Bortles is playing great football, and they get Leonard Fournette back, but if the 49ers win this game, it will be because of how they perform against the Jacksonville defense. I think this game either ends up something like a 23-17 49ers win, or a 30-13 Jaguars win. Naturally, I'm going to take the former.
