Jacksonville Jaguars Daily: Defense hampered by Blake Bortles

Jacksonville Jaguars defense is good, but still hampered by Blake Bortles and offense - ESPN.com
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said early last week that a defense has arrived when it starts dictating the outcome of a game. If that’s the case, the Jaguars still aren’t here. But it appears they are getting closer. Dictating the outcome means making big plays: sacks, turnovers, tackles for loss, knocking away passes, defensive scores. The Jaguars' defense has rarely done any of that, even in the few instances when the team is playing with a lead. However, the defense managed to do it once on Sunday in a 25-16 loss to Minnesota.

Houston Texans need Brock Osweiler to find consistency against Jacksonville Jaguars Defense - ESPN.com
Houston has owned the Jacksonville Jaguars over the past six seasons, winning 10 of the past 12 meetings dating to the final game of the 2010 regular season. They have won five in a row against the Jaguars, and another victory on Sunday at NRG Stadium would give them the longest winning streak by either team in the series. The Texans also won five in a row before the Jaguars won both meetings in 2013. Houston (7-6) sits atop the AFC South after Sunday’s victory against Indianapolis, and the Texans own the tiebreaker over the Colts because they swept the season series.

Jacksonville Jaguars to host Baltimore Ravens in London in 2017 - FirstCoastNews.com
The NFL announced today that the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Baltimore Ravens at Wembley Stadium in Week 3 (Sept. 24) or Week 4 (Oct. 1) of the 2017 regular season. No decision has been made as to whether the Jaguars will have their Bye Week immediately following the London trip, according to a press release. The Ravens will be the Jaguars’ fifth opponent in London and the first from the AFC North. The Jaguars are 2-2 in London and currently have a two-game win streak at Wembley Stadium after defeating the Indianapolis Colts, 30-27, in Week 4, which was the Jaguars’ first-ever divisional matchup played outside the United States.
