Proteas Captain Temba Bavuma Joins Roc Nation

Roc Nation Sports has announced the signing of South Africa’s limited-overs cricket captain, Temba Bavuma.

With the new addition of Bavuma he will become the second South African national team skipper and second Proteas cricketer to join them after Lungi Ngidi. Bavuma, also made history earlier this year in March to become the first Black African Cricketer to be named captain of the Proteas.

‘I am at an important phase of my career and I feel it is crucial to have the right people and support for me to achieve my objectives on and off the field. Roc Nation Sports are passionate and committed towards giving their players the best opportunity and resources to achieve their goals, I look forward to this next chapter of my career with the team,’ Bavuma said.

The 30-year-old has competed in 44 Tests, 9 -One-Day Internationals and 8-T20 Internationals, while also being the only Black African batsman to score a Test century for the Proteas.

Roc Nation Sports International President Michael Yormark stated that he is delighted to represent two of South Africa’s prominent sporting leaders.
