Shabbat Shalom: Friday Wrap-up (3/3/2017)

Good morning from warm South Florida, where basketball is totally on fire. It looks like Miami, Florida and Florida State will all be making the NCAA Tournament, which should create a lot of trash talking between now and the start of the tourney. I have the joy of taking engagement photos today, which I am told is a very big deal. It’s this afternoon. Wish my lots of luck. Roughly a week before I head to Austin for my first SxSW. I will only be in town a couple days before making my annual March trip to Las Vegas. If you’re in town, then be sure to check out my panel. Shouting out to for their help this week.

And as always, the weekly wrap-up:

  • Kaepernick recently switched agents to Jeff Nalley and Sean Kiernan [Report: Colin Kaepernick’s agents say he’s opting out].
  • The NFL Combine results do not change opinions on players much, says Andrew Brandt [Going Off Script at the NFL Combine].
  • Went from Burkhardt to Rosenhaus, back to Burkhardt [Johnny Manziel re-hires agent Erik Burkhardt].
  • Not bad publicity for Rosenhaus, who got his mug in a pic with Brown after the signing [Steelers’ Antonio Brown signs $72 million deal].
  • Represented by Peter Schaffer [Detroit Lions GM Says It’s “A Disappointment” That Joe Mixon Isn’t At The NFL Combine].

  • Abreu testified in the trial of baseball agent Bartolo Hernandez [White Sox’s Jose Abreu to jury: I ate fake passport on way to U.S.].
